Drawing on its experience, Telenco is developing solutions to optimise optical networks designed to serve mobile sites based on WDM (Wavelength-Division Multiplexing), optical filters and splitters. Our solutions have enabled us to implement optimised 10 Gb service networks on just 2 optical fibres, while ensuring redundancy. Wavelength-division multiplexing enables several circuits to be carried on a single fibre or pair of fibres, optimising the use of leased fibres or cables approaching saturation.
