WGP FL (BEP): a modular solution for every project

Three open WGP FL enclosures of different capacities, showing splice cassettes and fibre optic connections

The WGP FL series (BEP / Building Entry Point) has been designed to meet the various needs of fibre optic infrastructures in buildings. Thanks to several available formats, it suits small installations as well as higher-capacity projects.

The range is available in five versions

  • 6 fibres
  • 16 fibres
  • 36 fibres
  • 64 fibres
  • 144 fibres

This modularity makes it easy to size the installation according to the required fibre density, without over-equipping the project.

Cable entries designed for flexibility and easy intervention

The WGP FL series features several cable entry modules suited to different site configurations. Two design levels are available:

The NE3 module: a simple, functional cable entry designed for standard requirements.

The NE4 module: the innovative solution in our range.

Its cable entry system is based on small plastic accessories supplied with the enclosure, which fundamentally distinguishes it from conventional solutions. These accessories provide several decisive advantages in the field:

  • Reusable: they can be removed and repositioned without damage.
  • No consumables: no cable ties or other single-use materials are required.
  • Individual intervention: it is possible to work on a single cable without risking damage to adjacent cables already installed. A major advantage during maintenance or network expansion operations.

Fibre organisation designed for the field

To simplify maintenance operations, each enclosure incorporates a system of individual splice trays. Fibres remain clearly identifiable and accessible, making day-to-day technical interventions easier.

Splitter integration: outside the trays for greater safety

The WGP FL series allows splitters to be installed outside the splice trays. This design choice was deliberately made to avoid the risk of interference between fibres and to optimise the number of splices available within the enclosure. Technicians therefore benefit from greater flexibility when organising connections safely.

A very generous slack storage area

The enclosure features a particularly generous slack storage area located behind the adapters and beneath the splice trays. This space is designed to address several critical field situations:

  • Storing excess pass-through fibre length when tapping a fibre.
  • Storing splitter excess lengths.
  • Storing pigtail excess lengths.
  • Storing a safety length of drop cable when required.

This spacious storage area significantly reduces the risk of excessive fibre bending, ensuring signal integrity and long-term network reliability.

Pivoting adapter holders for improved accessibility

The adapter holders in the WGP FL series are pivotable, significantly improving connector accessibility for technicians, particularly when using LC-type connectors. This system allows connectors to be handled more easily while reducing the risk of poor connections or damage during patching operations.

More flexible installation

From the 16-fibre version onwards, the enclosures feature at least two feeder entries, providing greater connection flexibility depending on the site configuration.

Designed for durable outdoor use

The WGP FL series has been developed to ensure reliable performance in outdoor environments, including demanding conditions. The enclosures feature:

  • Robust construction.
  • Secure screw-lock closure.
  • IP55 protection rating.

This design ensures long-term durability and effective protection of fibre connections.

Key advantages

  • Versions available from 6 to 144 fibres
  • Several cable entry modules (standard NE3 and innovative NE4)
  • NE4 module with reusable accessories and no consumables
  • Individual intervention on each cable
  • Compatible with NE3 and NE4 infrastructures
  • Suitable for residential and commercial projects
  • Multiple feeder entries for greater installation flexibility
