61,677 tCO₂e in 2024: Telenco reinforces its emission reduction strategy

Breakdown of Telenco Group's carbon emissions by scopes – 2024 footprint

Since 2022, the Telenco Group has been calculating its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions annually to monitor progress on implemented actions and track its emission reduction path in line with its environmental commitments.

The 2024 carbon footprint is calculated using the internationally recognized Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol), which provides standards and tools to measure and manage GHG emissions.

2024 Results

Telenco's total emissions for 2024 amount to 61,677 tCO₂e:

Scope
Emissions (tCO₂e)
%
Scope 1 (direct emissions from fuels)
1,080
1.8%
Scope 2 (electricity consumption)
631
1%
Scope 3 (all other indirect emissions)
59,966
97.2%
Total
61,677

Scope 3 represents most of our emissions and includes raw materials, transportation, and end-of-life product management. This makes it our main area of focus for reductions.

Action plan validated by the SBTi

In 2024, Telenco’s GHG reduction targets were validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Although the main reduction actions were identified as early as 2022, the Group’s evolution—through acquisitions (e.g., NEKLAN) and activity changes—requires regular updates to both emissions distribution and action plans.

4 key levers of our strategy

  • Increased use of recycled raw materials
  • Optimized product design and packaging
  • Shift to lower-carbon transport solutions
  • Waste reduction

Our main lever is eco-design, which impacts 82% of our reference year emissions. Thanks to in-house life cycle assessment (LCA) capabilities, we can act on materials, production locations, and packaging choices.

The Group also continues efforts on scopes 1 and 2:

  • Electric vehicle charging stations and electric fleets in NGIS and CTTS
  • Green electricity contracts and solar panels at several entities (Telenco SAS, NGIS, TELGO, Telenco UK)

These initiatives clearly demonstrate our commitment to reducing emissions across all scopes — even those with a smaller share — as part of a continuous improvement approach.
