ODP S3 eline®: a compact enclosure for high-density FTTH connection areas

ODP S3 eline high-density FTTH optical distribution point

In very high-density FTTH networks, Optical Distribution Points (ODPs) must be designed to accommodate a large number of subscribers and withstand frequent connection operations. The ODP S3 eline® has been developed to meet these demanding environments by combining capacity, ergonomics and durability.

Designed for dense residential deployments (housing estates, multi-dwelling and single-dwelling units), the ODP S3 eline® provides up to 24 customer ports, retractable and captive cable entries, controlled fibre bending radius and clear and distinct access to the wholesale secured area.

Capacity, ergonomics and durability: the PBO T3 is intended for the most demanding FTTH areas, where enclosures must be scalable and robust in order to be installed under all conditions.

Three reasons to choose ODP S3

Capacity: up to 24 customer connections

The PBO T3 ensures optimised network management : the feeder can be terminated or pass-through, with additional entries for network extension.

Ergonomics: easier field operations

The retractable and captive cable entries allow to install cables efficiently without the risk of losing accessories, even during pole-mounted interventions. This ensures quicker installations, fewer mistakes, and tidier cable management.

Durability: long-term protection

Designed for outdoor life-cycle conditions, the PBO T3 guarantees strong mechanical performance and enhanced sealing (IP55). It is equipped with:

  • Dual side-latch cover
  • Lockable access
  • Internal wholesales area parts secured

Splice or pre-terminated version to suit your needs

Where splicing is preferred, the ODP S3 Splice (24 customers) offers high flexibility over time, enabling the gradual connection of subscribers.

In a pre-terminated configuration, on-site deployment is faster thanks to connections via pigtails or adapters. The PBO T3 eline® is available in SC/APC (16 customers) or LC/APC (24 customers).

User comfort recognised by engineers

  • Retractable cable entries: faster preparation and reintervention, fewer reworks
  • Captive cable entries: no loose parts that can fall from the pole during installation
  • Secure distribution area: an internal cover shields the main distribution during client connections.
  • Large internal working space: easier and more comfortable interventions

Technical specifications of the ODP S3 eline

  • Capacity: up to 24 customer connections, splicing capacity 96FO
  • Feeder: terminated or pass-through
  • Cable entries: main entries plus secondary distribution entries
  • Security: lockable access, cover with two side latches
  • Installation aids: captive entry modules, retractable clamps to guide and secure cables
  • Design: seamless integration into its environment thanks to its shape and colour
  • Environment: outdoor aerial and indoor

What is an ODP and where is it installed?

An ODP is the final optical connection point before the customer: the interface where fibres are prepared and made available on poles or façades.

The ODP S3 is engineered for SDU roll-out and dense environments, with clear fibre routing and easy access for technicians.
