Presentation of Telenco's PBO 12 FO

Telenco is making available to telecoms operators and their subcontractors a new version of its Eline® Outdoor PBO: the Optical Connection Point that enables 12 subscribers to be connected quickly and securely to very high-speed networks.

An FTTH connection solution tailored to the needs of telecom installers

Telenco is offering a new version of its Eline® Outdoor PBO, an optical connection point for connecting 12 subscribers quickly and securely to very high-speed networks.

To help telecoms operators and their subcontractors roll out FTTH networks in densely populated areas and meet their connectivity needs, Telenco networks is upgrading its range of drop cabling Optical Distribution Points. We have created a PBO (compact fibre distribution box) with 12 subscriber outlets, twice as many as the previous version. Thanks to this new Eline® Outdoor PBO, telecoms installers will be able to double their connection capacity, while reducing the number of optical boxes they need to install. The 12FO PBO therefore reduces both CAPEX and OPEX.

Double efficiency in the field thanks to a single optical box

In designing the new Eline® Outdoor PBO, the Telenco networks design office increased the connection capacity for subscriber cables without compromising on the performance already guaranteed by the previous version. As with the Eline® Outdoor 6FO PBO, the 12FO version meets the most demanding requirements in terms of:

Design and ergonomics

Easy to install and use

The Eline® Outdoor PBO has been developed to save field teams valuable time when installing or re-installing. This fibre-optic connection solution offers a system for preparing distribution cables outside the box. This gives telecoms installers greater freedom of movement, as the distribution cable can be anchored either high up or at ground level. What's more, a digital marking system and standardised colour identification make connection simple, quick and safe.

Securing networks

The Eline® Outdoor PBO is a secure optical connectivity solution. This box has a double locking system, as well as a lockable cover for the pre-terminated version. The risk of vandalism is minimised and access is restricted to authorised persons only. The Eline® PBO secures the distribution cable using a safe and effective anchoring system, and provides controlled clamping of drop cables thanks to a patented device. No components need to be removed to run drop cables: this reduces service intervention time and eliminates the risk of components being lost.
