Telenco® composite telecom poles are designed and manufactured in Moirans, at the Group’s headquarters site, in a transformed facility adapted to accommodate this new activity. This strategic choice reflects a dual objective: supporting the local economy and minimizing the environmental impact of production. By avoiding the construction of a new building, Telenco repurposes existing infrastructure, reduces construction waste, and avoids further land artificialisation, an important factor in sustainable land planning. This approach supports responsible reindustrialization while boosting local industrial employment, both through internal staffing and new hires.
From the earliest development stages, an in-depth study was conducted to ensure compliance with applicable standards—and even exceed them. This process involved a network of specialized partners: inspection agencies, certification bodies, public authorities, and occupational health services.
The entire manufacturing process includes reinforced safety and prevention measures. A Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) was installed to treat gas effluents. This energy-efficient system keeps air clean inside the facility while reducing emissions. Additionally, strict fire prevention measures have been implemented.
Telenco's composite pole production is part of a broader CSR strategy built on four pillars: environment, health and safety, ethics, and societal impact.
