As buildings evolve into smart, multi-functional hubs, the need for robust indoor mobile coverage is no longer optional. In Luxembourg, NGIS, a Telenco Group company, is delivering a standout example of this new reality. The company has designed and is currently deploying a high-performance Multi-Operator Distributed Antenna System based on Active DAS technology at Skypark Business Center. This development, adjacent to Luxembourg Airport, represents a major architectural and economic project in Europe, aiming for full completion by 2026.
From office workers to hotel guests and retail visitors, everyone expects continuous and high-quality mobile service. For stakeholders managing complex buildings—such as developers, airport operators and facility managers—integrating mobile infrastructure is now as critical as electricity or HVAC. In high-density, mixed-use buildings like Skypark, traditional coverage solutions fall short. Active DAS, with its ability to amplify and distribute signals across large and complex areas, ensures that all users remain connected at all times.
At Skypark, NGIS was commissioned by lux-Airport, the operator managing the infrastructure of Luxembourg Airport, to oversee the complete lifecycle of the MO DAS deployment. The project benefits from early-stage engineering using a digital twin model, allowing accurate simulation and performance prediction before implementation. This methodology ensures optimal coverage planning, rapid deployment, and minimal disruption during the construction phases.
Skypark Business Center is a 370-metre-long timber construction offering 76,000 m² of usable space, including offices, retail, hospitality, and essential services. The Multi-Operator DAS project is being deployed in three phases, each aligned with the building’s structural development. The system provides seamless 4G and 5G high speed coverage through a unified infrastructure shared by multiple national operators.
NGIS leads the full engineering and project management process. The system already supports two national operators, Post and Tango, with a third to follow shortly. The final stage of deployment is scheduled for March 2026. This marks NGIS’s largest Multi-Operator DAS rollout to date, confirming the company’s capacity to handle large-scale, business-critical installations.

Unlike traditional passive systems based on SISO (Single Input Single Output) architecture, the Skypark solution uses MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) technology. This enhances signal strength, data capacity and overall system robustness—key factors in ensuring uninterrupted, high-speed connectivity across diverse building environments.
To support the deployment, Telenco provided over 40 km of hybrid cabling and key hardware components that facilitate high-density, multi-operator coverage. These elements, sourced through Telenco’s technical catalogue, contribute to the reliability and scalability of the solution.
By combining advanced engineering, digital twin modelling, and high-performance Active DAS design, NGIS and Telenco deliver future-ready mobile coverage in one of Europe’s most demanding architectural environments.
